The Reboot Program

Equal opportunities for all

At ABN AMRO, we believe equal opportunities for everyone are important. We believe that everyone is entitled to this, regardless of background, conviction or personal preference. Yet we see that people with a refugee background often have fewer opportunities on the labour market than others. That is why we started the Reboot Programme in 2017.

With this programme, we offer people with a refugee background the opportunity to start a career at ABN AMRO. It therefore fits well with our purpose: "Banking for better, for generations to come."

Talent and ambition have no limits

We believe that talent, commitment and ambition do not depend on borders or origin. ABN AMRO is therefore keen to make use of the knowledge and skills of people with a refugee background. We understand that when fleeing your country, you often only take the essentials with you. Diplomas and other documents may then be missing.

We don't see a gap in your CV as a problem in those situations. Missing proof of work experience or education is also not an obstacle. When you are ready for the labour market, we mainly look at who you are and what you can do.

Tailor-made coaching

Work and communication habits often differ from country to country. That is why participants in the Reboot Program receive intensive and personal coaching. We tailor this guidance to your needs. This can be, for example, extra support in learning the Dutch language or in intercultural communication.

Personal development is also important to us. We don't see cultural differences as a problem, but as an enrichment. Diversity helps us to become better and stronger together.
